You can easily have something like Rupture on a build like mine of Flay + Rend, but as i tried to use it, it didn't really contribute much. They can be useful to clear elites fast and do lots of dmg to bosses, but i prefer abilities i can use often/passives. on my barb i had Iron Skin and Commanding? shout, the 40% dmg reduction one + passives to get fortify + flay to have up to 12%dmg reduction etc that made me unkillable unless i got caught in one of those high damage with several seconds stun moves some monsters do/bosses. Most good builds are probably gonna run 2 of those, e.g. Then you will 100% need AT LEAST 1x for survivability, because health potions are finite(though even bosses drop at least 1x per 1/4 of their health), you can only evade so much, and it's just enough enough. On one hand in encourages to optimize/specialize your builds to have free/resource generator skill + spender of the first 2. Now there is a generic Downloads Restriction setting, too! Note that this setting will not prevent Steam from downloading updates when you're playing a non-Steam game. It is worth noting that if you're playing a game on Steam, all Steam downloads are automatically paused unless you select the download option "Allow Downloads During Gameplay" (which is available through the Steam menu > Settings > Downloads category, at the bottom), so you shouldn't experience Steam downloading files while playing Steam games. There is a per-game setting which allows you to disable updates for individual games, which is accessible by right clicking on a game in your library, and selecting properties and choosing "Do not automatically update this game": It is not possible to prevent Steam client updates from being downloaded while the client is in 'Offline' mode. The only way to prevent auto-updating is to run Steam in offline mode - which will prevent you from playing Steam games online.
